Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar celebrated the 5-year accreditation certificate obtained by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in the national arena with academic and administrative staff at a dinner meeting. Rector Dalgar, who received the accreditation certificate from the President of the Higher Education Council Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and the President of YÖKAK Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, thanked the university staff and stated that their success stemmed from widespread efforts. He emphasized the university's importance of international accreditation and its goal to enhance institutional reputation. Rector Dalgar attributed their success to teamwork and staff performance. In a Senate meeting, he expressed the aim of increasing the university's prestige by amending the regulations on faculty appointment and promotion. He highlighted their goal of increasing international recognition and attracting international students.

Rector Dalgar, who stated that the YÖKAK evaluation team was impressed by the university's energy and sense of ownership, said, "We value internationalization. It is crucial for us to be a university where international students can be brought in, where academics engage in joint publications and projects with foreign countries, and where this culture is prevalent. We do not want our recognition to end where the Burdur sign ends. We want our recognition to surpass national borders. All our efforts aim to make this institution a more respectable and proud university for all of us. We want to be a university united in peace. What made me very happy was the evaluation team of YÖKAK saying, 'We have not seen another university with such energy, harmony, and sense of ownership.' Working at such a university is very valuable and prideful for me. I thank everyone who contributed to this process."
