Interuniversity Arm Wrestling Turkey Championship was held at MAKÜ

Rector Dalgar: “Our university, with its advanced and modern sports infrastructure, is now witnessing a sports tourism activity spread over 12 months of the year. We are careful to use these facilities, implemented with the support of our Ministry of Sports, in a way that best contributes to both the country's sports and Burdur's sports tourism.”
In the championship held at MAKÜ Sports Hall between April 16-18, 72 athletes from 23 universities competed fiercely.
In the competitions where 19 female and 53 male athletes participated, the athletes sweated for the championship in both right and left arms. After breathtaking matches, the athletes who ranked were determined with the final competitions held on April 18.
At the award ceremony held on the final day, the successful athletes were presented with their trophies and medals by MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Isparta University of Applied Sciences Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Özçelik, Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Organizing Committee Member Prof. Raif Zileli, MAKÜ Faculty of Sports Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Emrah Atay, Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Sports Sciences Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kuvartaşlı, Pamukkale University Faculty of Sports Sciences Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Süleyman Gönülateş, and MAKÜ Health, Culture and Sports Department Head Süleyman Yarar.
Speaking at the ceremony, MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar expressed the pride of hosting inter-university competitions and said:
“This year, we have hosted and will continue to host the finals of many university sports organizations. In May, we will also host university athletes in various branches. This championship, with 72 athletes from 23 universities, was quite exciting and enjoyable. I congratulate all our athletes, regardless of whether they ranked or not. I thank everyone who participated and our friends who contributed to the organization.”
Dalgar also stated that the university's Athlete Training and Camp Center is developing day by day in line with its founding purpose, saying, “Initially, this center, where only a limited number of teams camped during the summer, is now witnessing a sports tourism activity spread over 12 months of the year. We are careful to use these facilities, implemented with the support of our Ministry of Sports, in a way that best contributes to both the country's sports and Burdur's sports tourism.”
