During Assistantship Week, the 'Art of Effective Assistance' summit was organized.

MAKÜ Social Sciences Vocational School Office Management and Executive Assistant Program hosted a summit titled ‘The Hidden Heroes of Offices: The Art of Effective Assistance’ . The event, organized as part of World Assistants Week, brought together industry professionals and students.

 

After the opening speeches of the summit, Co CEO Assistant Serpil Soykan and Senior Executive Assistant Sultan Danacı gave comprehensive presentations on the current position and future of the secretarial profession. Participants had the opportunity to learn ways to professionalize in assistance in the light of professional experiences.

 

Human Resources Professional Gülden Çevik, Executive Assistant Eyüp Aydın, Academic and Trainer Semih Taşkın, and Senior Executive Assistant Çiğdem Yıldız, who participated in the event online, also shared their knowledge and experiences with the students.

 

Additionally, managers from different countries contributed to the event with video messages. Liliana Bica from Romania, Stephane Mony from France, Silvestre Mendoza from Egypt, and Altan Kolyas Ekin and Gülsüm Birinci from Turkey conveyed to the participants the expectations of a manager from an assistant and the competencies that executive assistants should have in today's business world.

 

The summit ended with the presentation of a thank you plaque to the participants by the Director of the Social Sciences Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Özlem Tagay.
