11 projects signed by MAKÜ have been entitled to receive TÜBİTAK support

Projects prepared by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) academics have been deemed eligible for support by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). A total of 11 projects that successfully passed the academic evaluation processes have been deemed eligible for support from TÜBİTAK under different support programs.

 

Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology faculty member Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çiçek was deemed worthy of support with his project titled ‘Development of a Modular Thermoacoustic Cooler Powered by Concentrated Solar Radiation: A Sustainable and Environmentally Friendly Cooling Technology’ under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Program.

 

Faculty of Chemistry faculty member Prof. Dr. Halil Zeki Gök was deemed eligible for support with his study titled ‘Preparation of Mesoporous Photocatalyst Containing Phthalocyanine and Investigation of Its Catalytic Activity in a Low-Cost 3D Printed Photoreactor’ under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1002-A Rapid Support Module.

 

From the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Preclinical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Adanır will implement his project titled ‘Development of Probiotic-Based Oral Vaccine Candidates Expressing Eg-95 and Eg-P29 Antigens and IL-4 Cytokine Against Cystic Echinococcosis’ with the support of the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Program.

 

Faculty of Education, Department of Basic Education faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Can was deemed eligible for support with her study titled ‘Development of Skills for Implementing Number Sense-Based Teaching Practices’ under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 3501 Program.

 

From the Faculty of Science and Letters, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Çiftçi will conduct his project titled ‘Development of New Tideglusib-Abl Inhibitor Hybrids Against ALS Based on Sod1, Tdp-43 Mutations’ in collaboration with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences under the TÜBİTAK 2502 Program.

 

From the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Department of Physical Education and Sports, Dr. Lecturer Emine Büşra Yılmaz will implement her project titled ‘Investigation of the Effects of Artificial Intelligence-Supported Digital Game and Exercise Applications on Children with Autism and Typically Developing Children’ with the support of TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001.

 

From the Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Dr. Lecturer Didem Korkmaz Ülüfer gained support with her study titled ‘Effects of Phycocyanin Application Against Tunicamycin-Induced ER Stress’ under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1002-A Rapid Support Module.

 

From the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, Lecturer Dr. Volkan Aşkun will conduct his project titled ‘Investigation of the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Workforce Dynamics for Sustainable Careers in Turkey’ under the TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2218 Program.

 

From the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Veterinarian Simge Garli will research the ‘Protective Effect of Spirulina Platensis Application on the Immune System in Rats with Subacute Toxicity Induced by Fipronil’ with the support of TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1002-A.

 

Veterinary Faculty Pathology Department doctoral student Büşra Gülbenli Türkoğlu was supported with her study titled ‘Investigation of the Effects of Mir-26a on DNA Damage and Macrophage Polarization in a Mouse Breast Cancer Model’ under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1002-A Rapid Support Module.

 

Again, Veterinary Faculty Pathology Department doctoral student Vet. Onur Çelikoğlu received support for his project titled ‘Investigation of the Role and Importance of Poppy Oil in Treatment in an Experimental Wound Model in Mice’ with the support of TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1002-A.
