Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) International Relations Coordination organized the 4th International Staff Week event within the scope of the Erasmus+ program. This year, the event shaped around the theme of 'Sustainability' brought together academics and professional staff from different geographies.

University representatives from various countries, primarily Poland, Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, and Ethiopia, participated in the event. Participants highlighted the global importance of the sustainability issue and shared the projects and good practice examples they conducted in their own institutions.

During the two-day program, interdisciplinary sessions were organized on topics such as sustainable campus practices, environmental awareness, green energy policies, and social sustainability. Additionally, participants joined technical tours introducing the MAKÜ campus, providing them the opportunity to examine the university's sustainability vision on-site.

Thanks to the workshops and group discussions conducted throughout the event, inter-institutional knowledge exchange was encouraged; the foundations for joint projects that could be developed in the future were laid. The International Staff Week not only contributed to MAKÜ's internationalization goals within the scope of the Erasmus+ program but also created an academic collaboration platform centered on environmental sensitivity.

Officials from the MAKÜ International Relations Coordination stated that the event was productive, thanking the participants and all stakeholders who supported it. It is aimed to hold the next Staff Week event with broader participation.
