Rector Dalgar attended the Turkish Universities Education Fair in Indonesia

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar attended the Turkish Universities Education Fair held in Indonesia under the leadership of the Turkish Maarif Foundation. Rector Dalgar stated that they continued their promotional activities in line with the university's internationalization vision in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta, and in the city of Medan.

Emphasizing that they aim to increase the number of international students at MAKÜ, Prof. Dr. Dalgar said, "We are conducting an intensive promotional campaign to increase our current number of international students, which is around 1200. In this context, we participated in the Turkish Universities Education Fair held in Jakarta."

At the opening of the fair, Rector Dalgar met with Turkey's Ambassador to Indonesia-Jakarta Talip Küçükcan and the managers of the Turkish Maarif Foundation-Maarif Agency, expressed his gratitude for the interest shown, and stated that Ambassador Küçükcan, who also stands out with his academic identity, will make significant contributions to inter-university cooperation and the increase in the number of international students in Turkey. During the visit, mutual gifts were presented.

The opening of the fair held in the city of Medan took place with the participation of Turkey's Honorary Consul Dr. H. Rahman Shah, Turkish Maarif Foundation Board Member Dr. Mehmet Cangir, and representatives of 21 universities. 

At the fair, detailed information was provided at the MAKÜ stand to students who are continuing their education in the 12th grade in high schools and will graduate this year.

Within the scope of the program, the university delegation also met with guidance counselors, sharing MAKÜ's educational opportunities and global vision, laying the foundations for new collaborations.

At the end of the visit, MAKÜ signed an academic cooperation protocol with 11 universities in Indonesia, further strengthening its visibility in the international arena.

Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar said, "We believe that these steps we have taken in line with our internationalization goal will provide significant contributions both to our university and our country. We are returning with strong collaborations from Indonesia."
