With the decision enacted with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it has been officially decided to establish a Faculty of Medicine within our university.
Our university, which already has a strong healthcare education infrastructure such as the Faculty of Dentistry and Hospital, Faculty of Health Sciences, Bucak School of Health, Burdur Vocational School of Health Services, and Gölhisar Vocational School of Health Services, aims to further strengthen its academic capacity in the field of health with this new faculty. At the same time, the official establishment of the Faculty of Medicine, which has been one of Burdur's most important expectations for years, will increase access to qualified healthcare services in our province and provide strategic contributions to the region's health vision.
MAKÜ has officially taken its place among the prestigious universities in Turkey with a faculty of medicine
Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, in his statement on the subject, said, “The decision to establish a Faculty of Medicine is a historic step that will strategically expand our university's research capacity in the field of health sciences, its power to train qualified human resources, and its contribution to regional health services.
At the same time, with this important step, our university has officially taken its place among the prestigious universities in Turkey with a faculty of medicine.
I wholeheartedly believe that this development, which will contribute to our country's health vision and scientific development, will add value to the academic, social, and economic future of our entire region, especially Burdur.
In this important process, I express my gratitude to our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mr. Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş, and President of the Council of Higher Education Mr. Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar.
