Great success in 2025 YKS placement results from MAKÜ: Overall occupancy rate 99.82%

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University once again proved its strong position in higher education with the announcement of the 2025 YKS placement results. MAKÜ, which showed remarkable success among universities nationwide, filled 6,730 of its total 6,742 quotas, reaching a general occupancy rate of 99.82%. Only 12 quotas remained vacant.

High demand for undergraduate and associate degree programs

The university's undergraduate programs filled 3,050 of the 3,062 quotas, reaching an occupancy rate of 99.61%. The increase in base scores in 68% (44 programs) of the undergraduate programs especially demonstrated the confidence in MAKÜ's education quality and the attractiveness of its programs. Newly opened programs such as 'Precision Agriculture and Agricultural Robots' and 'Data Science and Analytics', reflecting the university's vision for the future, also attracted great interest.

The increase in base scores in 68% (44 programs) of the undergraduate programs especially demonstrated the confidence in MAKÜ's education quality and the attractiveness of its programs.

The associate degree programs achieved full occupancy, reaching 100% success. Students were placed in all 3,680 quotas, and base scores increased in 78% (74 programs) of the associate degree programs. These results were evaluated as an indicator of MAKÜ's competence in vocational and technical education and its integration with the sector.

All newly opened programs were filled

All 600 quotas of the total 19 new programs opened by MAKÜ in the 2025 placements were filled. This situation revealed how much the educational opportunities offered by the university for current needs and future professions were embraced by students. The 12 vacant quotas occurred in the Science Education (9) and Social Studies Education (3) programs.

MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, in his statement regarding this success, said, “According to the 2025 preference/placement results at our university, our general occupancy rate is 99.82%. Our undergraduate programs have reached 99.61%, and our associate degree programs have reached 100% occupancy. Base scores have increased in 68% of our undergraduate programs and 78% of our associate degree programs. Only 12 quotas remained vacant; all 600 quotas in our 19 newly opened programs were filled.
