Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was commemorated with ceremonies

At the first ceremony held at Burdur Cumhuriyet Meydanı, after the wreaths were laid at the Atatürk Monument by Burdur Governorship, Burdur Municipality, and Garrison Command, a 2-minute moment of silence was observed at 09:05 with the sounding of sirens.

The citizens around the ceremony area also participated in the moment of silence with the sound of the siren. Then, the National Anthem was sung. The torches lit around the monument and the students standing guard next to the monument highlighted the significance of the day.

The commemoration program continued at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Conference and Exhibition Hall. The oratorio performance prepared by USO Anadolu Lisesi students attracted great interest.

At the ceremony held in front of the Rectorate, after the wreath was laid at the Atatürk Monument by MAKÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, a 2-minute moment of silence was observed at 09:05 with the sounding of sirens.

The academicians and administrative staff present at the ceremony area participated in the moment of silence with the sound of the siren. Then, the National Anthem was sung. The torches lit on both sides of the monument and the flags were lowered to half-mast.
