MAKÜ, TEKNOFEST Agriculture Technologies Projects için hazırlıklarına başladı

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), in line with its specialization vision in the field of agriculture and livestock, held an important consultation meeting to increase project applications to be developed in the field of Agricultural Technologies. MAKÜ, which is among the academic stakeholders of TEKNOFEST planned to be held in Şanlıurfa in September 2026, has started its efforts to further advance the project successes it has achieved so far.
In the meeting chaired by Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, academicians who have previously conducted projects in the TEKNOFEST Agricultural Technologies category or have the potential to produce projects in this field came together. In the meeting, efforts that can be made to increase students' participation in competitions in this field and to bring out qualified and applicable projects were discussed.
Within the scope of its cooperation with the Agricultural Technologies Cluster (TÜME), MAKÜ, which is a specialized university in the field of livestock, also included predictions for organizing TEKNOFEST Agricultural Technologies competitions within the university in the future in the meeting's agenda.
In the meeting, it was emphasized that the projects carried out in the field of Agricultural Technologies are of strategic importance for MAKÜ as a specialized university supported by the Presidency. It was stated that focusing on current problems encountered in agriculture and livestock and developing innovative and solution-oriented approaches to these problems are among the university's primary goals.
Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar emphasized that projects to be developed in the field of Agricultural Technologies should not be seen only as a competition process, highlighting the importance of these projects producing outputs that are sustainable and provide solutions to real problems encountered in the field. He pointed out that supporting and motivating students with academic consultancy during the project process will increase success.
Prof. Dr. Dalgar also stated that support for students and academicians who will apply for projects in the field of Agricultural Technologies will continue, and that the necessary budgets will be provided to project teams in line with the determined schedule. In addition, it was stated that it is aimed to take students who apply in this field to TEKNOFEST 2026 to experience the festival atmosphere on-site and increase their motivation.
At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized the importance of developing innovative and applicable projects for current problems encountered in the agricultural sector, and it was stated that it is aimed to have more qualified projects from MAKÜ in the Agricultural Technologies category. The consultation meeting held is expected to make a significant contribution to the university's project applications in this field.
