Dear Candidate Student,

You can apply online for Graduate Programs for the Spring Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year between June 04-17, 2026.

The application process is carried out through 2 different systems.

1. 1st Stage: Application Fee Payment

    

Applications are accepted online only through our university's website without any intermediary, and no additional fees will be charged from candidates for any process other than the announced amount.

• - First, you need to visit https://yos.mehmetakif.edu.tr to create a user account.
• - After logging into the system, you need to pay the application fee of 30 USD online.
• - The payment amount will be manually defined by the University after you become a member.
  
   
• - IMPORTANT NOTE: THE APPLICATION FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

2nd Stage: Document Upload and Program Preference Procedures

• - After paying the application fee, you need to click on the “Create a new account” button from the link https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/foa_app to create a user profile again.
• - Then you can upload the documents below and complete your preference procedures.

Required Documents for Application to Graduate Programs:

1. 1- Notarized copy of the bachelor's and/or master's diploma and its Turkish translation
2. 2- Notarized copy of the bachelor's/Master's Transcript and its Turkish translation
3. 3- Passport (Turkish translation) / Photocopy of the identity document (the parts related to identity on the passport)
4. 4- TÖMER certificate showing Turkish proficiency level (B2 or C1) (if available)

5. 5- For doctoral program candidates, a document showing foreign language proficiency

    

(Candidates applying for doctoral programs must have at least 55/100 points from YDS or an equivalent exam in any of the English, German, or French languages. Candidates who do not have any of these documents must meet the language requirement until the end of the course phase.)

 Important Explanations

• - All documents not in Turkish must have an official certified translation. 
• - Foreign students who graduate from a higher education institution in Turkey are not required to meet the Turkish language requirement.
• - The tuition fee for Thesis Master's/Doctorate programs is $420

• - The tuition fee for Non-Thesis Master's programs is $500
