International Student Admissions /2026-2027 Fall Semester Master's/Doctorate 3rd Application Announcement

Dear Candidate Student,

You can apply online for Graduate Programs for the 2026-2027 Academic Year Fall Semester between August 26 and September 3, 2026.

The application process is carried out through 2 different systems.

Stage: Application Fee Payment

Applications are accepted online only through our university's website without any intermediaries, and no additional fees will be requested from candidates for any process other than the announced amount.

First, you need to create a user account by visiting https://yos.mehmetakif.edu.tr.

After logging into the system, you need to pay the application fee of 30 US Dollars online.

The payment amount will be manually defined by the University after you become a member.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: THE APPLICATION FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

2nd Stage: Document Upload and Program Preference Procedures

After paying the application fee, you need to click on the “Create a new account” button from the link  https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/apps/login.aspx?CurAppType=ina to create a user profile again.

Then you can upload the documents below and complete your preference procedures.

Required Documents for Application to Graduate Programs:

Notarized copy of the Bachelor's/Master's diploma and its Turkish translation,

Notarized copy of the Bachelor's/Master's transcript and its Turkish translation,

Photocopy of the identity document (the parts related to identity in the passport),

TÖMER certificate showing Turkish proficiency level (B2 or C1) (if available),

Document showing foreign language proficiency for doctoral program candidates,

Bank receipt.

(Candidates applying for doctoral programs must have at least 55/100 points from YDS or an equivalent exam in any of the languages English, German, or French. Candidates who do not have any of these documents must meet the language requirement until the end of the course stage.)

Important Explanations

All documents not in Turkish must have an officially certified translation. 

Foreign students who graduate from a higher education institution in Turkey are not required to meet the Turkish language requirement.

Thesis Master's/Doctorate programs Tuition Fee is $420
