Rector Dalgar Attended the Opening of Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Turkish Literature Center

The Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Turkish Literature Center was opened within the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The opening, which was also attended by the Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, included Mehmet Rüyan Soydan, President of the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Thought and Art Foundation, Selçuk Karakılıç, Director of BAKU Yunus Emre Institute, and academics.

In his opening speech, Rector Dalgar stated that as a university, they see being present wherever Mehmet Akif Ersoy's name is mentioned as a natural mission, and emphasized, "Our spirituality, our values are all very important. However, there is something we have felt a lot recently, that Turks need to work a lot. The Turkish world needs to work hard, hand in hand, arm in arm, and united." 

The Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Turkish Literature Center, established with the support and initiative of the BAKU Yunus Emre Institute, will have nearly 500 works and documents at the service of researchers. The prestige edition of Safahat, written by Mehmet Akif Ersoy and published by MAKU, the 4-volume Mehmet Akif Ersoy Salnamesi, the facsimile editions of the National Anthem, and the books of the 2nd and 3rd International Mehmet Akif Symposiums are also among the works available at the center.
