On November 25-26, the Folk Dance Team of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, which won the championship in the Folk Dance Competition held within the scope of the 20th Universities Folk Dances Folk Music Festival in Bartın, met with Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar.
Rector Dalgar, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy and Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen, and the Director of the State Conservatory of Turkish Music Prof. Dr. Zeki Nacakcı met with the Folk Dance Team, which has made the MAKÜ family proud with its consecutive championships, at a lunch organized at Avşar Han.
"You made us very happy with the championship you won," said Rector Dalgar, "You have achieved a meaningful success that matches our university and Burdur. I thank you and our teachers who have contributed to you. We will also support you with free meals throughout your education life here. Know that we are with you in your equipment and other needs. Thank you again on behalf of myself and our university for making us proud with this success."
After the meal, Rector Dalgar presented certificates of appreciation to the folk dance team, especially the responsible faculty members of the MAKÜ Folk Dance Team, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynel Turan, Dr. Lecturer Nurgül Mıhladız, Dr. Lecturer Avşar Yengin and instructor Uğur Bulut.
