An awareness event was organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Disabled Student Unit Coordination of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy (MAKÜ) University.
The event, organized within the scope of December 3 World Disabled Day, was carried out with the participation of students under the coordination of MAKÜ Disabled Student Unit Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Top and Faculty of Sports Sciences Disabled Student Unit Representative Dr. Lecturer Soner Sivri.
In the event, to draw attention to the problems of individuals with special needs and to better understand them, students played tennis and basketball in wheelchairs.
The message that everyone is a potential disabled person and that they need to show sensitivity to facilitate the lives of individuals with special needs in all areas was given in the event organized to create social awareness with wheelchair tennis and wheelchair basketball.
