MAKU Folk Dance Team Shared Championship Joy with Rector Dalgar

The Folk Dance Team of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) shared their championship joy by visiting Rector Dalgar.

The MAKÜ Folk Dance Team, which participated in the Folk Dance Competition organized within the scope of the 20th Universities Folk Dances Folk Music Festival in Bartın on November 25-26, returned from the competition with the championship cup. The MAKÜ Folk Dance Team, which has been successful in every competition it has participated in, breaking the tradition and winning 5 championships in total, including 4 times in a row, made the MAKÜ family proud. Rector Dalgar, who hosted the MAKÜ Folk Dance Team along with the responsible instructors in the senate room, congratulated the entire team one by one and said; "It is much more meaningful to be successful in folk dance from a place like Burdur, which we call the center of folklore culture. This needs to be taken to an international level. You had a performance that provided an extraordinary viewing pleasure with your choreography and harmony. I consider it as both a significant achievement in social and cultural terms and an academic achievement. I congratulate each of you separately and kiss you from your eyes. You really made us very happy. May your successes be permanent. As a university, our support is always with you and will be with you in this journey of success, in taking these successes further. I would like to express this clearly. I would like to thank our teachers who have contributed to you and our friends in SKS separately. Hopefully, our teachers will draw us a vision in this sense. We will support you on this journey. You will have many more successes that will make us proud. I thank each of you separately" he made a statement.

At the visit where their performance in the competition was shown on the screen, the responsible instructors of the MAKÜ Folk Dance Team, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynel Turan, Dr. Lecturer Nurgül Mıhladız and Lecturer Uğur Bulut were also present.
