Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Athlete Training and Camp Center continues to host many athletes and teams. The center, which hosts many famous local and foreign teams, is now hosting the U15 Girls National Handball Team.
The U15 Girls National Handball Team, which is holding its summer camps at the MAKÜ Athlete Training and Camp Center, was visited by Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar during their training.
Wishing success to all athletes during the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar said; “Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, with the sports investments it has made so far, has served and will continue to serve many athletes, teams, and sports participants at the national and international level at the athlete training and camp center, in line with its mission.
The Sports Sciences and Athlete Training Application and Research Center (SPOR ARGEM), integrated with the Faculty of Sports Sciences, aims to contribute to the development of national sports and sports tourism in the region by bringing qualified technical personnel, athletes, and sports professionals to Turkish sports. Our university, which has previously hosted the Rugby National Team and Judo National Teams in various age categories many times, is also hosting the U15 Girls National Handball Team's camp this summer. As long as our athletes stay here, they are our guests. Let no one doubt that they will be hosted in the best way possible. These investments made by our state are at the service of Turkish sports to the fullest.
I have full confidence that all our athletes in the camp will represent the crescent-star jersey in the best way and will always make us proud. I wish the technical team, our coaches, other staff of the team, and our athletes a successful camp period.” he said.
After the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar presented a gift to the Head Coach of the U15 Girls National Handball Team, Kemal Durak.
