Rector Dalgar Attended the Regional Development Focused Universities Meeting

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, under the chairmanship of the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, attended the "Regional Development Oriented Universities Meeting" organized within the framework of the "Regional Development Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program".
The meeting was hosted by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, which is a specialized university in the tea field, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. The meeting was attended by YÖK Executive Board Members Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman, as well as the rectors and vice-rectors of 22 universities selected by YÖK as specialized universities. Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner also attended the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar stated that the meeting has been held so far at Düzce, Bingöl, Kırşehir Ahi Evran, Uşak, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy, and Kastamonu universities, and emphasized that everyone has made great efforts to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the Regional Development Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program and to achieve the targeted regional outcomes, thanking those who supported it.
At the meeting, MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar also took the floor and informed the participants about the studies conducted by MAKÜ in the field of animal husbandry and shared his experiences.
