4 Projects of MAKÜ in the Field of Health Sciences Will Be Supported by TÜBİTAK

Burdur Mehmet Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Burdur Health Services Vocational School under the leadership of academicians prepared 4 projects in the field of health, which were entitled to receive support from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).

Burdur Mehmet Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Burdur Health Services Vocational School academicians led 4 projects prepared in the field of health, and these projects were entitled to receive support from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).

Coordinated by Burdur Health Services Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mümin Polat and prepared together with 10 academicians from 4 different universities, 4 projects were entitled to be supported within the scope of the TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs Presidency (BİDEB) "2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support Program".

The study group, formed by academicians from MAKÜ, Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADÜ), Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇÖMÜ), and Dokuz Eylül University (DEÜ), has had 10 projects entitled to receive support in the last 3 years.

The first project entitled to be supported in the 2023 1st call period of the study group was the "II. Applied Disaster Sciences Academy" led by Dr. Lecturer Gülhan Şen, Deputy Head of the Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management at MAKÜ Faculty of Health Sciences.

The team members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mümin Polat, Dr. Lecturer Gülhan Şen, and Lecturer Gülcihan Aybike Dilek Kart, who took on the roles of project leadership, instructor, and organizing committee membership, visited Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar in his office. Providing information about the projects to MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Polat said; "We extend our thanks to our colleagues at our stakeholder universities, who have shown harmonious work since the preparation process of the projects, to our university's Rectorate, and to TÜBİTAK BİDEB for their support at every stage. In the events to be held in Burdur, Aydın, İzmir, and Çanakkale, which will last for 3 days each, approximately 140 participants will have the opportunity to receive training on both current disaster and health sciences fields and individual academic development processes. Under the supervision of expert trainers, they will receive information on current disaster management strategies and analysis methods through various workshops and group studies. The project culture is spreading at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, and as the project team, we are happy to have the opportunity to contribute to this climate." he said.

Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar also expressed his satisfaction with MAKÜ's studies in the field of Health Sciences and such collaborations. In his speech, Rector Dalgar said; "Such productive scientific interactions formed with different universities will also make significant contributions to the project culture at our university. As the management of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, we are ready to provide all kinds of support because both our academicians and students will benefit from these 4 projects to be carried out in 2023. I congratulate all the stakeholders and academicians who contributed to this important success and wish the projects to be beneficial to our community." he said.
