In the Intercollegiate Sports Drone Competition organized for the first time by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF), students from Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) came in third.
In the Intercollegiate Sports Drone Competition, which was organized by TÜSF between May 17-18 and hosted by Antalya Bilim University, and included in the Ünilig for the first time this year, the team consisting of students Mert Kökdere and Fırat Özgen from the Department of Information Systems and Technologies of Bucak Zeliha Tolunay Applied Technology and Business School, under the consultancy of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sertaç Coşman from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, achieved third place. The team received their medals and trophies from the Rector of Antalya Bilim University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Yüksek, at the ceremony held.
The students who received their trophies visited MAKÜ Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Durmuş Acar in his office and presented their trophies. Speaking after the visit, which was also attended by Rector Advisor Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kılınç, Acting Rector Acar said; “The recent success of our students and faculty members, especially in the field of information and technology, makes us extremely happy. As the administration, we are providing all the support in this regard and will continue to do so in the same way. I congratulate our students and our professor and wish them continued success.”
