Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department organized various events within the scope of "12-18 May Nursing Week".
The events held at the MAKÜ Conference and Exhibition Hall started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem.
The opening speech of the conference was made by the Head of the Nursing Department, Assoc. Dr. Gül Ergün. Then, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zafer Özyıldız also gave a speech. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Özyıldız congratulated all nurses on Nursing Week. Emphasizing that the nursing profession is a difficult and arduous profession, Prof. Dr. Özyıldız wished the conference to be beneficial.
After the speeches, a music recital was presented by the students of the Faculty of Education Fine Arts Education Music Department.
Then, MAKÜ Faculty of Health Sciences Dr. Lecturer Ayşe Uçak made her presentation themed International Council of Nurses ICN.
The President of the Turkish Nurses Association, Assoc. Dr. Azize Atlı Özbaş also provided information about the promotional activities of the Turkish Nurses Association and the Student Nurses Association, and gave a conference on professional organization.
The program ended with the presentation of thank you certificates to the participants.
Theater Play During Nursing Week
As part of the events organized by MAKÜ for Nursing Week, the theater play "Mukaddes" was also staged.
The theater play "Mukaddes", written by Şükrü Sefa Şen and directed by Yasemin Damla Aslan and Mehmet Hazar Konuk, staged by the MAKÜ Theater Community at the MAKÜ Conference and Exhibition Hall, received full marks from the audience.
