“Future Of Health” Symposium Held at MAKÜ

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Burdur Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu tarafından “Future of Health” (Sağlığın Geleceği) Sempozyumu düzenlendi.

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Burdur Health Services Vocational School organized the “Future of Health” Symposium.

The symposium was attended by Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Sırrı Şenbayram, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Zafer Özyıldız, Chief Physician of Burdur State Hospital Assoc. Dr. Nedim Ongun, Chief Physician of Bucak State Hospital Specialist Dr. Bilal Tanrıtanır, Director of MAKÜ Burdur Health Services Vocational School Assoc. Dr. Mümin Polat, MAKÜ Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Gerontology Dr. Lecturer Sevinç Sütlü, academicians, and students.

The opening speech of the symposium held at the MAKÜ Conference and Exhibition Hall was made by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Zafer Özyıldız. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Özyıldız stated, “We are health scientists. As the Health Services Vocational School, we are involved in every health-related work as the place where health is transformed into service. Health is our most important treasure. For health to be transformed into service and for everyone to benefit equally, each of us needs to be equipped. We need to keep up with digitalization in health. Digitalization is progressing rapidly. Digitalization is the beginning of the future and digitalization is inevitable. We need to update ourselves constantly. We need to prepare our local and national data packages ourselves. We will address these issues in this symposium.”

Symposium President and Director of Burdur Health Services Vocational School Assoc. Dr. Mümin Polat, who spoke later, also stated that diagnosis and diagnosis are intertwined in today's technology, technology is digitalizing, and we need to keep up with this digitalization.

Burdur Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Sırrı Şenbayram also made a speech. In his speech, Dr. Şenbayram said; “In this symposium hosted by MAKÜ, we will discuss important issues that make us look to the future with hope. Digitalization in health, traditional and complementary medicine practices, and health tourism are the most important issues. When we talk about the future of health, we see that these 3 issues are at the forefront. In the past periods, as a country and as the world, we have experienced bad times. First, the pandemic and then the earthquake disaster. These difficulties once again highlighted the importance of health management. These play an important role in the development of health.”

After the speeches, the symposium began. In the symposium chaired by Burdur Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Sırrı Şenbayram, Assoc. Dr. Mümin Polat presented on “The Future of Health in Our Country and the World”, Assoc. Dr. Nedim Ongun on “Telemedicine Applications”, Specialist Dr. Bilal Tanrıtanır on “Digital Hospital Applications” and Dr. Lecturer Sevinç Sütlü on “Artificial Intelligence Applications in Health”.

After the presentations, certificates of appreciation were presented to the speakers by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Zafer Özyıldız, Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Sırrı Şenbayram, and Director of Burdur Health Services Vocational School Assoc. Dr. Mümin Polat.
