Education Was Provided to High School Students Within the Scope of the "İşimdeyim Güvendeyim" Project at MAKÜ

The European Union (EU) and the Republic of Turkey funded and the T.C. Ministry of Labor and Social Security European Union and Financial Aids Department Presidency carried out “Improving Occupational Health and Safety in the Mining Sector Project (MİSGEP)” within the scope of the Grant Component supported “İşimdeyim Güvendeyim” Project seminar meetings continue.

Industrial Zone and Bucak Organized Industrial Zone partnership carried out
within the scope of the “İşimdeyim Güvendeyim” Project, approximately 75 students from Bucak Organized Industrial Zone Vocational
and Technical Anatolian High School were trained on “Ensuring Behavioral Culture in Occupational Health and Safety: Education of Children and Youth” by Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Firdevs Savi Çakar.
The training held at Lavanta Tepesi Hotel
was attended by Prof. Dr. Firdevs Savi Çakar, Bucak
Organized Industrial Zone Manager Binnur Çığrı, Burdur Marble Workers Association President
Nasuh Ekinci, academicians, high school teachers, and students.
At home, at school, how safe am I in my living environment, what should a safe workplace be like, dangerous professions, what are the dangers awaiting employees in workplaces, what should be done to protect from dangers, if you were an employer what kind of measures would you take in your workplace, in the trainings given on topics such as students shared their feelings and thoughts in writing and verbally.
The training ended with Bucak Organized Industrial
Zone Manager Binnur Çığrı presenting a plaque to Prof. Dr. Firdevs Savi Çakar.
After the trainings, students toured the Engineering-Architecture Faculty, Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank Library, İstiklal Stadium, MAKÜ Sports Facilities, and MAKÜ Farm located within the campus and gained information.
