TÜBİTAK Support for the Professional Development of Classroom Teachers

Under the leadership of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Education Department of Classroom Education faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Can, a project supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK ARDEB 3501-Career Development Program is being implemented. The project aims to enhance the skills of classroom teachers in developing number sense-based teaching practices in mathematics lessons.

The project will be carried out in collaboration with four researchers and one consultant from four different universities, one of which is international. Conducted with the vision of "From universal knowledge to societal contribution," the study will provide on-site support to teachers with applications in real classroom environments. Additionally, the connection between theory and practice will be strengthened through a coaching system.

The project, with a total budget of 1,000,000 TL, will last for three years and aims to contribute to the professional development of classroom teachers, thereby improving the quality of education.
