Student-centered university emphasis

During his visits, Prof. Dr. Dalgar, who met with students one-on-one, said that they listened to their expectations and determined the university's development path accordingly. Stating that they adopted a 'student-centered' approach with the contributions of academics, Rector Dalgar said, “When the university administration and students meet at the same goal, institutional success becomes inevitable.”

Dalgar stated that one of this year's priority topics is micro-credential programs, expressing that with this application, students' professional skills will become more concrete, measurable, and compatible with the industry. Rector Dalgar emphasized the importance of strengthening advisory and mentoring systems, highlighting that the guidance mechanism plays a significant role in students' academic and personal development.

A strong future with applied learning

Rector Dalgar also touched upon the importance of experience-based learning models in university education. He stated that providing students with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in the field will enable them to join the business world as more equipped individuals. In this context, Dalgar said they will further strengthen university-industry cooperation, expressing, “Our aim is to ensure that our students graduate as strong individuals in terms of both knowledge and experience.”

University–community collaboration

Emphasizing that MAKÜ is not only an academic institution but also a structure integrated with the community, Rector Dalgar said that students' active participation in social, cultural, and scientific activities is of great importance for the development of the university. He stated that acting with common sense with the university's stakeholders forms the basis of steps that shape the future.

“The new term begins with new goals”

Thanking the academic and administrative staff for their dedicated work, Prof. Dr. Dalgar said, “The success of our university is directly proportional to the success of our students. Therefore, creating an environment where each student can realize their potential is our top priority.”

Rector Dalgar stated that the new academic year will be shaped not only by courses but also by innovative and visionary steps, adding that MAKÜ will continue to be an important actor in regional development with its student-focused approach.
