Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) History Science and Economics Community organized a meaningful technical trip to Ankara, which hosts the turning points of our Republic's history. During the trip guided by Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Uğur Tozkoparan, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Onur Yayla, and Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Faruk Gökçe, students had a rich experience both historically and culturally.

The first stop of the visit was Anıtkabir, the eternal resting place of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. During the ceremony held here, a moment of silence was observed, once again emphasizing the gratitude towards Atatürk. Then, the First Grand National Assembly of Turkey building, which was opened on April 23, 1920, and guided the National Struggle, was visited.

During the trip, the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, which sheds light on the ancient civilizations of Anatolia, the historical Ankara Castle, the ruins of the Roman Baths, and the Hacı Bayram Veli Mosque and Tomb were also seen on-site, and comprehensive information was provided.

MAKÜ students had the opportunity to both reinforce their academic knowledge and deepen their historical awareness on this journey from past to present. Community members stated that such trips greatly contribute to their educational life and thanked the academicians who organized the event.
