A certificate of achievement was awarded for TÜBİTAK 2209 projects at MAKÜ

At Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), an award ceremony was held for project teams that were entitled to receive support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A and 2209-B University Students Research Projects Support Programs, conducted by the TÜBİTAK Scientific Human Support Programs Directorate.

 

The ceremony organized by the MAKÜ Research and Development Coordination was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen and Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan, academics, and students.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar emphasized that universities need to take on new roles in the changing world, stating that in today's world where access to information has become easier, universities have moved beyond being mere institutions that convey information.

 

Rector Dalgar highlighted that MAKÜ aims to provide students not only with academic knowledge but also with analytical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and digital competencies, expressing that the university has taken significant steps in this direction. He noted that they rank 22nd among 208 universities in Turkey in terms of graduate employment rates and mentioned that they have succeeded in entering the top 100 universities in the world in some fields.

 

Rector Dalgar reminded students of the importance of extracurricular activities, stating that producing projects is not only an academic endeavor but also an important process that develops skills in research, solution development, teamwork, and taking responsibility.

 

Rector Dalgar pointed out that students involved in TÜBİTAK 2209 projects have achieved significant success, thanking the academics who provided consultancy for the projects, and stated that the university-industry and research-oriented education approach will continue to strengthen.

 

At the end of his speech, Rector Dalgar advised students to be open to change and to continue learning, congratulating all students and academics who have shown success.

 

The program concluded with the presentation of certificates of achievement to the advisors and students involved in the projects that were entitled to support under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A and 2209-B programs.
