Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Turkish Folklore Application and Research Center prepared and conducted by Lecturer Gökhan Çağırgan, the "Forgotten Burdur Folk Songs" album project has been completed and presented to the audience.
With the project, Forgotten Burdur Folk Songs have come to life again in the voices of Turkish Folk Music artists; Bedia Akartürk, Sümer Ezgü, Makbule Kaya, Hüseyin Turan, Ferhat Erdem, Uğur Önür, Özge Öz, İsmail Çakır, Emre Dayıoğlu, and Fatma Yıldız.
Lecturer Gökhan Çağırgan, who directed the project, also performed two solo folk songs in the album. In addition to 4 works that have never had their notes and sound recordings published until today, 9 Burdur folk songs with notes in the TRT Turkish Folk Music repertoire are also included in the album. The mix and mastering processes of the album's sound recordings were carried out by Lecturer Buğra Sercan Sahil.
